Art~Garden~Life

We went to the New York Botanical Garden for the art and garden exhibit of Frida Kahlo yesterday. It was one of their evening exhibits, Frida Al Fresco Evening. Although, I couldn’t take pictures of the paintings and the entire exhibit, I took a few pictures where I was allowed. Walking through the recreation of the Casa Azul was beautiful, for a woman that had so many dark moments, her house was colorful and full of life. After the Library exhibit, we were greeted with a drink and a blanket where we could lounge on the lawn and close the evening sipping on a cocktail, listening to the sounds of a trio Mexican band. The evening gave a great sense of who Frida was and her lifestyle in Mexico City. If you are in New York this summer the Frida Al Fresco Evening is a must do!
