5 Tips To Becoming A Fashionista

People tend to think that looking stylish is a hard thing to do, but this isn’t really the case. For many people, wearing Ceiphers Clothing as frequently as possible is their way of keeping a cool fashion sense. There’s such a large number of fashion magazines, websites, TV shows, all you need to do is pay attention and you’ll be unlikely to look terrible, providing your dressing for your body shape. What is difficult is becoming your own fashion star, one that doesn’t look like everybody else. But it’s not impossible.

1. Break the Rules

There are no absolute rules, in fashion or in anything else in life. So long as you know some of the rules, then you’re free to break them! This is how society moves forward: someone says ‘this is how things are done,’ and then someone comes along and proves that there’s another way. So play around with your clothes, mixing up styles, colours, and just about everything else that people assume has to be done in just one way.

2. Create Your Own Clothes

You could visit the mall and pick up all your clothes, but if you do, then you’re unlikely to be ever considered a fashion star. Instead, what will give you this credibility is creating and wearing your own clothes. Take a look at the history of most fashion designers, and how they all began their path to fashion superstardom this way; Coco Chanel is a good example. There are loads of ways that fashion designers try to promote their clothing to make them unique. If you are an aspiring designer and want to add that individuality to your clothing range, you can add the finishing touch to your designs by creating labels for them. Using websites such as GB Labels to create professional and high quality labels for your items, making them stand out. Learn how to handle a sewing kit, play around with fabrics, and see what you can come up with. It might just be your calling. (Learning how to use a swing machine is on my goal list for 2018)

3. One of a Kind Pieces

While people put together their clothes in an endless number of ways, when you break it down, it’s clear that most people are wearing clothes that thousands of other people are also wearing. That’s not very inspiring, is it? To be a true fashionista, you need to be wearing those one-of-a-kind pieces that nobody else has. Take a look at micro-designers who make all their clothes individually, and play around with accessories; there are no two pairs of opal earrings, for example, that are the same.

4. Find Your Color Staples

Even if you’re endlessly playing around with styles, it’s always a good idea to have those go- to staple colors. Incorporate these colors into your outfits, and you’ll be on your way to becoming a style icon.

5. Push Forward

Finally, the golden one rule is never to sit still. All the best artists are continually reinventing their styles and pushing forward; if you think you’ve been throwing on the same outfits again and again, it’s time to refresh your wardrobe. If you do, you’ll be a style icon no matter how old you are – and who doesn’t want that?
