What is the dad sneaker trend? The dad sneaker is the sorta ugly chunky sneaker that has a “dad” feel and a 90’s flair. It normally takes me a little longer than most to adapt to trends, but when I saw the chunky dad sneaker, it was love at first sight.
I know what you are thinking. You don’t think you can pull it off, they are just too trendy. I’m here to tell you that the popular “dad sneaker” trend is actually easy to pull off and here’s why. You don’t need anything else– the sneaker is such a statement piece in its ugly, chunky glory. You just need the sneaker and some basic ass outfit (i.e. jeans, tee or sweater and the sneakers). Not only are they fashion-forward, they are ridiculously comfortable. If you aren’t basic and want to mish-mosh some super trendy outfit, great! Sometimes it’s so fun to be over the top! In this post, I actually tried to be a little edgier than I normally would by adding the huge sunglasses and the print skirt. Otherwise, I’m simply wearing a skirt and a sweater and my “dad sneakers” are giving all the trendy fun vibes.

- Jeans and solid/pattern top
- Skirt and tee/ sweater
- Trousers and blazer
- Mom jeans and dad sneakers (who would have known, lol)
