Lately, my Instagram feed and blog posts have been lacking color *nods head in agreement*. When you live in the Tri-state Area it’s tough to stay colorful when your surroundings are everything but. I challenge both of us to push ourselves to wear more color this winter, New Year’s Resolution? I’m adding a serious pop of color with pieces from Nordstrom this winter. Nordstrom has become my go-to shopping destination. It’s super easy to order some fab pieces online and then pick up curbside. Hello, convivence!  Also, shipping and returns are completely free. Yup, you read that right — free dollars! With the help of Nordstrom I’m sharing tips on how to wear color in the winter and nail it! Go ahead girl, scroll below!

Go bold & bright with your sweater

The simplest route to wear color in the winter is to start with your sweater. A color block sweater is a sure fire way to brighten up your winter outfit.

Lighten up your denim

Don’t exclude your lighter washes just because it’s winter. If you’re stuck in a black jean rut try lighter jeans to liven things up!

Wear white

Yes, you can wear white in the winter! Try a pair of white pumps, white boots or sneakers and pair it with a sweater, for an unexpected twist.

Add a pop of color with your handbag

If you want to stick to neutral colors with your wardrobe but do wish to dabble with color, try a pop of color with your handbag.

Try color in your makeup

I’m wearing a shade of purple eyeshadow in these photos which is totally out of the norm. I’m glad I pushed myself outside the box because I ended up digging it!
